Many applications within industrial automation and LED lighting require cables that can withstand repeated bending, movement and connection. To meet this need, Techno now also offers its popular IP68 connector series TH381 and TH387 as overmolded versions.
High-quality IP68 sealing through overmolding
During overmolding, Techno uses a specialized injection process in which the cable and connector chemically and mechanically fuse together. Thanks to this approach, a perfect, durable seal is created that provides protection against:
- moisture and water (IP66/IP68/IP69K)
- UV radiation
- temperature fluctuations
- harsh weather conditions
The resins used also ensure a permanently watertight transition, even when the cable’s outer diameter varies due to temperature or humidity.
