Binder introduces new M12 L- and T-coded connectors with stainless steel locking. Binder expands its M12 portfolio with new field-attachable L- and T-coded connectors featuring a robust stainless steel locking mechanism. These connectors are designed to deliver maximum reliability and durability in demanding industrial environments.
M12 L- and T-coded connectors with stainless steel locking
With the introduction of the latest field-configurable Binder M12 connectors from the 813 series (T-coded) and 823 series (L-coded), Binder adds particularly rugged solutions to its product range. The connectors are equipped with a solid stainless steel locking system, are certified to IP67 protection, and offer an excellent mechanical lifetime of more than 100 mating cycles.
Series 813 is available with 4 poles, while series 823 is offered with 4 or 4+FE poles. Both variants support cable diameters from 6 to 13 mm. An additional advantage is their high temperature resistance: they are designed for operating temperatures from –40 °C to +105 °C, making them ideal for modern industrial applications.
Reliability in demanding environments
In today’s industrial landscape, characterized by increasing automation and a growing demand for robust, space-saving connection solutions, the new Binder M12 connector series sets new standards. The new L- and T-coded connectors stand out not only for their high reliability and durability, but also for their impressive resistance to extreme environmental conditions. In the context of Industry 4.0, these connectors provide a cost-efficient and reliable solution for signal, data and power transmission in harsh environments.
High-quality engineering in detail
The Binder 813 series (T-coded) is ideally suited for applications requiring high electrical performance combined with strong resistance to external influences. The four-pole design and screw-type stainless steel locking ensure IP67 protection, offering complete protection against dust and temporary immersion in water. Connection is made via screw terminals, suitable for cable diameters of 6–10 mm, and supports conductor cross-sections up to 1.50 mm² / AWG 16. The series features a rated voltage of 63 V and a rated current of 12.0 A, making it suitable for electrically demanding systems. A mechanical lifetime of more than 100 mating cycles ensures long-term reliability.
The Binder 823 series (L-coded) offers additional flexibility and performance, especially for applications with higher current requirements. Available with 4 or 4+FE poles, and supporting conductor cross-sections up to 2.5 mm² / AWG 14 without ferrules, this series is suitable for current ratings of up to 16 A. The stainless steel locking mechanism ensures high mechanical stability and IP67 protection. With a wide cable entry of 8–13 mm and an operating temperature range of –40 °C to +105 °C, the 823 series is an ideal solution for demanding industrial applications. Electrically, it features a rated voltage of 63 V and a rated impulse voltage of 1500 V.
