Turnhout. The Kempen-based company A&C Solutions and the German connector manufacturer HUMMEL AG have been working together successfully for 10 years. In a short period of time, A&C Solutions has grown from a young start-up into one of HUMMEL’s most important partners in the field of connectors.
To mark the anniversary, Markus Henninger, Vice President Product Line Circular Connectors at HUMMEL AG, presented Franky Vanlerberghe, founder and Managing Director of A&C Solutions, with an award recognising the company’s outstanding and dynamic business development.
It all started in 2011 with an enquiry from Maarten Voermans. “At the time, we were looking for a partner to expand our range of industrial circular connectors. And we were convinced that HUMMEL would enable us to offer significant added value to our customers,” the co-managing director recalls. A meeting at a trade fair followed, as well as a visit to HUMMEL’s production facilities in Denzlingen and Waldkirch. The cooperation was sealed shortly afterwards.

Today, A&C Solutions is one of HUMMEL’s key partners, offering customers connector solutions across the entire M12 Power to M40 portfolio. “Excellent know-how, a strong focus on connectors, and deep market knowledge are the key success factors,” says Bernd Lais, Technical Customer Support at HUMMEL AG. He held the first discussions with Maarten Voermans in 2011. At that time, A&C Solutions had a turnover of around €750,000; today it has grown to €7.4 million.
